Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting with accounts payable, setting up sales tax accounts, performing account reconciliations, assisting with reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Duties

· Maintain accounts payable records and ensure invoices are properly submitted for payment processing.

· File invoices in project folders and save within ERP system.

· Complete a monthly reconciliation of AP submissions to bill.com or similar bill payment system.

· Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

· Support ad hoc reporting requests from ERP system.

· Reconcile invoices to project costs reports on a monthly basis.

· Support external audits by providing the required documentation.

· Maintain sales tax rate schedule and request setup of new SUT certificates.

· Contributes to the development of internal controls and process improvements.

· Review Ramp system for missing receipts & coding and follow up with employees to ensure monthly close deadlines are met.

· Set up new Ramp users for newly onboarded employees.

· Set up new Ramp programs or adjust existing programs as needed.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

· Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP system (Sage is a plus)

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
