General Summary of Duties
Performs professional financial work to include responsibility for expense, cash flow/ALM, and branch analysis, assists with budget process, and backup of other finance duties.
Essential Job Functions
  • Maintains current knowledge of technology necessary to function in position; continuing education as needed. Networks with other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends.
  • Creates an atmosphere conducive to quality performance and morale. Supports the efforts of all staff in the maintenance of an atmosphere of service excellence.
  • Performs analyses of subjects such as cash flow/Asset Liability Management (ALM), branch performance, rate of return, depreciation, investments, and financial and expense performance comparisons. May prepare forecasts and analyze trends in sales, financial, and other general business conditions. Compile and/or prepare reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.
  • Assists in the preparation of month-end financial, budgetary, regulatory, and ad-hoc reports as directed.
  • Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations required within scope of duties, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. Required to attend training sessions as instructed by Manager and/or the HR Department.
  • Assists with the budgeting process.
  • Back-up other areas of the finance department as needed.
  • Keeps Senior Financial Analyst informed of any opportunities, best practices, and challenges.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Maintain total working knowledge of department. Complete necessary logs.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of credit union policies/procedures that are necessary for performing job duties, including but not limited to Negotiable Instrument Reference & Guidelines, NACHA, BSA, and OFAC.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: A four-year college degree in Finance or related field.
  • Experience: One to three years of financial services experience with an emphasis on finance.
