Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for ownership of reporting needs as it pertains to the Carl’s Jr. company-owned restaurant portfolio. This role provides financial analysis and support to drive business performance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Supports Carl’s Jr. corporate restaurants to accurately report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly, periodic, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Prepares and analyzes restaurant P&Ls to ensure data accuracy and provide actionable recommendations
  • Itemizes variances to forecast, budget, and prior year
  • Acts as primary financial liaison for company operations team, presenting to senior leadership
  • Manages sales forecasting for both Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr.
  • Assists in the quarterly forecast and annual planning processes
  • Establishes project timelines and follows-up with other departments to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assists with ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, including presentations for the Leadership Team, Board of Directors, Franchise Advisory Boards, brand conventions, and/or individual departments
  • Develops, refines, and maintains analytical tools and complex financial models
  • Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in Financial Analysis or similar role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies
  • Prior experience with databases and Business Intelligence tools preferred
  • General knowledge of restaurant business model preferred

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  •  Restaurant Support Center that operates in a fast-paced setting with a high volume of activity and a deadline-driven environment. The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer/mouse
  • Limited travel as needed
