Vendor Master / Data Conversion Specialist - Oracle Fusion Implementation
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid after Training)
Duration: Long-Term Contract (6+ Months)
Compensation: $40-$55/hour DOE
Overview
Our client is seeking a highly analytical Data Conversion Specialist to support a large-scale Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion implementation. This position will play a critical role in cleansing, validating, mapping, and converting large vendor and master data sets while ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Excel, data mining, data manipulation, data validation, and ERP conversions. Experience building macros, working with Oracle load files, and supporting large-scale system implementations is highly preferred.
This is a project-driven role requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Fusion Conversion & Data Migration
  • Support the migration of vendor and master data from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion.
  • Perform large-scale data mapping between legacy and future-state systems.
  • Validate, reconcile, and prepare data for successful system conversion activities.
  • Create, review, and maintain Oracle Fusion load files to support data migration efforts.
  • Conduct detailed data validation and reconciliation following system uploads.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies between source and target systems.
Vendor Master Data Management
  • Maintain and update vendor master records, including vendor banking information, payment instructions, and physical addresses.
  • Support compliance with evolving banking and vendor payment requirements.
  • Review approximately 30,000 vendor records to identify duplicates, inaccuracies, and missing information.
  • Partner with AP, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams to ensure vendor data accuracy.
Data Mining & Data Analytics
  • Perform extensive data mining, data cleansing, and data manipulation activities across multiple systems.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets and improve data quality.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and validation tools supporting implementation activities.
  • Build and utilize Excel macros to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency.
Process Improvement & Administration
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes utilizing Excel, AI tools, and other technology solutions.
  • Support Box folder cleanup, organization, administration, and document management initiatives.
  • Assist with data governance and master data integrity efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in testing, issue resolution, and post-conversion validation activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting ERP implementations, data conversions, data migration projects, or master data management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Data Validation
    • Complex Formulas
    • Macros
    • Large Dataset Analysis
  • Strong experience with data mining, cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle EBS experience.
  • Oracle Cloud Fusion experience.
