Job description

The Junior RF Engineering Technician will support our Dahlgren, VA team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division. Essential Responsibilities: Successful candidate will operate and maintain equipment necessary to support conduct of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing/certification of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems. The purpose of this testing is to determine if the system under evaluation meets E3 design specifications and/or assess its ability to function in its intended operational electromagnetic environment from both a safety and reliability standpoint. Travel is involved as much as 10% of time. Selectee will have direct customer interface and communication and will work together as a Team for a wide variety of test events. Minimum Requirements: * One (1) year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems. * Knowledge of using one or more of the following: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs). * Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance. * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. * On the job mentoring is provided.
