Founded in 2019, Talon employs over 150 Aerospace and Defense engineers and other support staff to solve complex engineering problems for a variety of applications to include aircraft, ballistics, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, missiles, and warheads. Talon has an office in Tucson, AZ that is providing high fidelity computational models/analysis and technical services support to Fortune 500 companies.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in system-level design and testing, encompassing both analog and digital circuitry. This role involves full lifecycle design responsibilities-from defining functional requirements to supporting production-while working closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and firmware engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical system design efforts for new and existing products to meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
  • Support full product development lifecycle: requirement definition, design, test, integration, and production support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system-level issues efficiently to ensure product reliability.
  • Develop engineering and production-level test procedures and custom test fixtures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and maintain manufacturing continuity.
  • Utilize computer-aided engineering and design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, etc.) for circuit design and layout.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, drawings, and engineering change orders.
  • Work with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to support engineering projects and product development.
  • Research, design, and test electrical components and systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver designs that meet cost, performance, and manufacturability targets.
