Job Summary

The Junior Ignition Developer will support the development of industrial applications across multiple manufacturing sites. The Junior Ignition Developer will work closely with senior developers and engineers to build, test, and support applications that improve plant operations, data visibility, and system integration. This position reports to the Team Lead, Process Control NA.

What you will be doing
  • Assist in developing applications using Ignition software.
  • Support configuration of tags, alarms, and basic gateway set up.
  • Help build dashboards, HMIs, and reports for plant users.
  • Work with PLC data and assist in connecting plant equipment to Ignition.
  • Support testing, debugging, and troubleshooting applications.
  • Document applications, standards, and configurations.
  • Participate in deployments and support rollouts to plant locations.
What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial automation field, software development, or related field.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of SCADA systems.
  • Exposure to programming or Scripting (Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with SQL or relational databases is an asset.
  • Previous exposure to Ignition software.
  • Understanding of APIs or basic system integrations.
