Nammo Perry develops, manufactures and specializes in propulsion and energetic material products for tactical missiles, rocket motors, and warheads. Nammo Perry is presently expanding operations and is looking for dedicated team members to assist with new start-up operations and program execution.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Project Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering to develop foundational project management and technical skills while contributing to meaningful engineering programs. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and eager to grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Work Location: Tallahassee, FL with travel to Perry, FL facility as needed.
Must be a US Citizen and be capable of holding a DoW Security Clearance (Dual citizens will not be considered)

What You'll Do: Precision in Action
  • Project Leadership & Execution: Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects from initiation through closeout. Assist senior engineers in defining project scope, deliverables, and timelines. Track project milestones and report on progress against established schedules. Coordinate internal team activities and contribute to project status meetings, action item tracking, and documentation management.
  • Technical Planning: Assist in developing technical plans, work breakdown structures, and resource estimates for assigned projects. Apply mechanical or aerospace engineering principles to support design reviews, analyses, and technical evaluations. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, test plans, and reports in accordance with project and company standards.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Liaison: Support communication between internal teams, external customers, and vendors. Assist in preparing project updates, technical presentations, and meeting summaries for stakeholders. Develop professional working relationships with customers and suppliers under the guidance of senior engineering staff, ensuring project needs and expectations are clearly understood and addressed.
  • Risk & Change Management: Assist in identifying and documenting project risks, issues, and opportunities. Support the development and tracking of risk mitigation plans. Participate in change control processes, including the documentation, review, and coordination of engineering change requests. Escalate emerging risks or schedule impacts to senior engineers in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshooting: Support root cause analysis and problem resolution on technical issues arising during design, fabrication, testing, or fielded operations. Apply structured troubleshooting methodologies to investigate anomalies and contribute to corrective action development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to drive timely issue resolution.

What Dedicated Teammates Bring
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of CAD parametric modeling (preferred, not required), Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail under stress. Ability to clearly and confidently communicate during design reviews, team meetings, program reviews.
  • Must be a US Citizen and be capable of holding a DoW Security Clearance
  • Dual citizens will not be considered
  • Ability to obtain BATF approval to work with our products

  • Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing
  • Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have stamina to work more than the scheduled workday when needed; including nights and weekends
