About this Job Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians.

We're currently seeking an Operating Engineer 2 to join our Facility Management Department. This position performs preventative maintenance on boilers and related equipment. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in the operation or maintenance of large stationary engines or mechanical equipment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: For those positions in which incumbents will be working with and handling refrigerants, possession of an appropriate EPA refrigerant recycling and recovery certification for technicians will be required (as required under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act, 1990). Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Perform preventative maintenance work in the operation of chillers, liquid cooling units, heat and cooling circulating pumps, air compressors, cooling tower units, steam boilers, hot water furnaces, hot water heaters, hot water transfer pumps, convector units, air conditioner/heat pumps, walk-in cooler and freezers, ice machines, generators and incinerator units.

Monitor, update, and maintain the Preventative Maintenance and Work Order Systems for the Engineering Department daily. Attending Educational In-Services, Mandatory Training and Annual Review as required by hospital policy and procedure or deemed necessary by supervisor. All other duties as assigned include ensuring departmental coverage.
