Civil Engineer – Metairie, Gonzales and Houma, Louisiana locations.
As a Civil Engineer, you’ll take the lead in designing and implementing key infrastructure projects including municipal, transportation, drainage, flood control, and land development initiatives. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will drive innovative and efficient solutions, ensuring project success and community impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the design of municipal infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, water/sewer utilities, and site development using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform structural analysis and design for civil projects, including bridges, retaining walls, and foundations, ensuring compliance with AASHTO, ACI, and ASCE standards while integrating seismic and load-bearing considerations.
  • Manage permitting and ensure compliance with LaDOTD, USACE, FEMA, and local agency requirements.
  • Conduct advanced calculations, modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, etc.), and drafting, while providing guidance to team members.
  • Oversee field visits, construction observation, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and structural engineers to optimize project delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, construction plans, quantity take-offs, and other key project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development through knowledge sharing and progressive leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months).
  • Experience: 5-10+ years in civil design, land development, transportation, sewer, water, or drainage systems.
    Technical Skills (Preferred but not Required): Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ARC-GIS, WaterCAD, or similar systems.
  • Core Skills: Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication abilities.
