We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Senior Sales Manager.
Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving hotel revenue through high-level strategic planning, key account development, and leadership of the sales team. This position is responsible for managing top-tier clients, penetrating new market segments, and contributing to long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of hospitality sales dynamics.
What will you be doing most days?
Strategic Sales Leadership
  • Develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive sales plans for key market segments (corporate, leisure, government, etc.).
  • Lead initiatives to increase market share, improve profitability, and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies proactively.

Key Account Management
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with high-value accounts and industry partners.
  • Conduct complex negotiations and close major business deals with professionalism and profitability in mind.
  • Regularly meet with key clients to understand their needs and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Team Development & Oversight
  • Mentor, support, and supervise junior Sales Managers and Sales Executives, fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new sales team members.
  • Set team sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Revenue Management Collaboration
  • Work closely with Revenue and Marketing teams to align sales strategies with pricing, promotions, and distribution plans.
  • Provide input on forecast models, pricing strategies, and annual business plans.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and generate detailed reports for senior leadership.
  • Track KPIs such as occupancy rates, ADR, RevPAR, and booking pace.
  • Present insights and recommendations during executive strategy meetings.

Client Engagement & Representation
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, client functions, and sales missions.
  • Host FAM trips, site inspections, and promotional events to showcase the property.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction and brand representation.

What are the requirements for this position?
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and key accounts.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting systems, and hotel PMS (e.g., Opera, Delphi).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours based on business needs.
  • You have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements for this Position
You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 20% travel. Travel may outside the local area and overnight.
