MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support backend web services, application logic, and RESTful APIs.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and unit testing responsive front-end user interfaces and web components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams in Agile software ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application deficiencies to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Develop and optimize database scripts, queries, and schemas within relational database management systems.
  • Containerize applications and assist with automated deployments, configuration management, and version control workflows.
  • Assist in creating and updating user documentation, technical specifications, and system architectural diagrams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline.  A bachelor's degree can be substituted for four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Foundational experience developing in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
  • Basic familiarity with front-end web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals and experience writing standard SQL queries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Familiarity with application containerization tools like Docker and automated configuration tools like Ansible.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
