Sn. Cloud Developer
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina OR Radnor, Pennsylvania (On-site)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to join a modernization team. In this role, you will be instrumental in re-architecting legacy applications into AWS-native solutions, building APIs, and developing AWS Lambda functions. This position involves acting as a technical lead and mentor for junior developers within a 6-8 person team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and support Python applications in a production environment.
  • Develop, deploy, and support Terraform scripts/CDK to build and manage Cloud resources.
  • Modernize legacy Oracle Forms/Oracle Database applications.
  • Build APIs and AWS Lambda functions.
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor for junior developers.
  • Work collaboratively with others to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Python applications in a production environment.
  • At least 4 years of AWS Cloud Development experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years supporting AWS environments in both test and production.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting Terraform scripts/CDK.
  • Experience with Full Stack Application Development.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and API Development.
  • Experience with Boto 3 SDK, Chalice, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible for AWS.
  • Demonstrated ability to write scripts in languages such as Shell, Ruby, or Java.
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud fundamentals including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, Glue, Kinesis, EMR, Glacier, IAM, ELB, and VPC.
  • Knowledge of Bash and networking.

Preferred Qualifications
  • An AWS Developer Associate Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with application modernization or cloud migration.
  • Knowledge of AWS Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or CloudWatch/Monitoring.
  • Experience with monitoring and load testing applications.
  • Software development experience in financial services or real estate related industries is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
