Role Summary
We are currently looking for a IT/OT Engineer who will participate in all technical aspects the group is responsible for including product development, project engineering and site support. Engineers in the IT/OT Solution team will receive wide level of exposure to all aspects of the modern IT/OT environment as well as be on the cutting edge of the industry working in partnership with startups and big biotech alike developing the newest technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities will cover all technologies/platforms within the portfolio including Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Cloud, Cybersecurity DCS, MES, Databases, Server Hardware.
  • Leads others to execute a multi-discipline scope from concept through delivery (concept, proposal, project, close-out) for projects of any size
  • Team Lead for Virtualization and Network/Service Infrastructure activities and strategy.
  • Responsible for customer facing technical communications.
  • Typical author for functional specifications / high level design
  • Identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategy.
  • Works with Project Management to ensure project budget, schedule and quality.
  • Physical demands: May be asked to assist in racking servers and various other tasks associated with system deployment and setup.

  • Travel within the Greater Boston area, minor additional travel within US or abroad

Qualifications
  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree or related field
  • Experience with DeltaV
  • 5+ years of experience in IT/OT engineering, with a focus on network and system administration
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of computer networks
  • Experience leading technical projects in the IT/OT domain
  • Experience with multiple of the specific technologies / systems listed below:
  • Network infrastructure: Routers, switches, firewalls, access points, etc.
  • Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.
  • Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
  • Cloud computing platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etc.
  • Database management systems: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
  • Cybersecurity tools: Firewall, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, etc.
  • Industrial control systems: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS) etc.
  • Industrial networking protocols: Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, etc.

On-Site Requirements
This position requires a full on-site presence 5 days per week during the first 4�6 months. Following that period, the role will be on-site four days per week, including Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the fourth on-site day alternating between Tuesday or Friday depending on business needs.
Compensation: This position offers a base salary range of $88,000 to $105,000, based on experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for a variable compensation plan.
