Overview

The Data Integration Analyst II supports YCCI’s embedded analytics, reporting, data quality, and data integration function. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics, this position works with operational teams and technical partners to develop and maintain reliable data products and automated workflows supporting clinical research administration.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain data integrations, analytical datasets, reports, and workflow automation using data from systems such as OnCore, Epic, Salesforce, REDCap, and financial platforms.

  • Write and maintain SQL queries, data transformation logic, scripts, and scheduled processes that support recurring operational needs.

  • Assist with data pipelines that extract, transform, validate, and deliver data across approved systems and environments.

  • Monitor scheduled jobs, data refreshes, interfaces, and automated workflows; investigate failures and coordinate issue resolution.

  • Perform data quality reviews to identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, stale, or incorrectly mapped records.

  • Reconcile information across systems and work with operational subject-matter experts to understand and resolve discrepancies.

  • Support the development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, work queues, and integration-ready datasets.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including data definitions, process flows, source mappings, testing results, and support procedures.

  • Participate in requirements gathering and translate operational needs into clearly defined technical tasks and validation criteria.

  • Use version control, testing, and established development standards to support maintainable and reproducible solutions.

  • Collaborate with YCCI operational teams, enterprise data teams, and application owners while maintaining clear distinctions between analytics and integration work and application administration.

  • Handle sensitive institutional and research data in accordance with privacy, security, and data governance requirements.

Required Skills and Abilities
  1. Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries for extracting, joining, transforming, and validating data from relational databases.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical solutions.
  3. Ability to understand business processes and data requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  4. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments while documenting work and meeting established deadlines.
  5. Ability to learn new systems and tools, work both independently and collaboratively, and follow data privacy, security, testing, and change-management standards.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  1. Experience with Python, dbt, Git or GitHub, APIs, ETL/ELT tools, job scheduling, or other data integration and automation technologies.
  2. Experience working with healthcare, clinical research, financial, or other regulated data, including familiarity with privacy and security requirements.
  3. Experience with systems such as OnCore, Epic, Salesforce, REDCap, Workday, or comparable enterprise applications.
  4. Experience developing or supporting dashboards and analytical products using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  5. Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, Microsoft Fabric, semantic models, data quality testing, or modern analytics engineering practices.
Principal Responsibilities
  1. Develops the initial project charter and clarify the project scope, requirements, measurable outcomes, and project benefits in collaboration with process owners.
  2. Documents the “as is” and “to be” business processes using standard process modeling tools and process improvement methodologies.
  3. Decomposes high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements. Manages the development of functional specifications by collaborating with process owners; gathering business requirements; creating functional specifications; and identifying, documenting, and resolving design issues.
  4. Represents requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios. Provides compelling and concise analysis to enable business owners to make well informed decisions regarding options for problem resolution and opportunity realization.
  5. Leads requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
  6. Contributes in testing and quality assurance process. Collaborates with developers and end-users to insure that application functionality meets client needs. Tests solutions, problem-solve issues, and coordinate enhancements.
  7. Responsible for requirements prioritization and solution risk analysis.
  8. Plans and communicates the departmental readiness plan. Supports metrics integration and execution for optimal results.
  9. Develops and delivers training to end users.
  10. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related field. Four years of related experience in analysis of business needs and development of related business systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
