We are seeking a Data Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a mission-critical federal program in Huntsville, AL. This individual will play a key role in analyzing and managing large data sets to produce actionable insights that directly support operational and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple data sources to deliver accurate reporting and meaningful recommendations. This role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and develop data-driven solutions that align with mission objectives. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed analysis on data collected from multiple sources to develop reports, summaries, and actionable insights
Prepare and deliver accurate, well-structured documentation and reporting artifacts to support internal and external stakeholders
Manage the collection, aggregation, cataloging, storage, and retrieval of structured and unstructured data
Develop and maintain data dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI
Support ad hoc data analysis projects, identifying trends and providing recommendations that improve processes and decision-making
Gather and document requirements from stakeholders to support development of data solutions and reporting capabilities
Write and optimize queries using SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data sets
Utilize Python to support data processing, automation, and analytics workflows
