Job description

The Defense Sensors group at Leidos currently is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support our Scientific Applications team. This role focuses on RF data analysis, and detailed customer driven report generation. The role includes trend analysis for operational health patterns, troubleshooting root causes for data anomalies, and presenting findings.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze RF signal data to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Organize and manage data analysis efforts to produce clear analytical reports and deliverables that support customer needs and mission objectives.
  • Develop and apply statistical methods, algorithms, queries, and automated processes to model, integrate, and evaluate complex data sets.
  • Compile detailed reports that summarize operational trends and insights and present findings effectively through strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Improve or develop new working aids to support customer understanding of tools, reports, and related outputs.
  • Aid troubleshooting to identify issues, determine root causes, and support resolution activities with senior personnel.
  • Efficiently track and manage tasks to closure, ensuring accountability and timely completion.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in all-source analysis or in lieu of a degree 6-8 years of experience in all-source analysis. Additional experience, education, or training may be considered.
  • Current & active DoD Top Secret clearance to be considered (U.S. Citizenship is required).
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis methods, data modeling techniques, and automated or query-based data analysis processes.
  • Ability to prepare clear, accurate, and customer-focused analytical reports and technical deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Problem solving mindset and comfort working in dynamic environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Huntsville Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Intelligence or all-source analysis
  • Working knowledge of IC and Combatant Command environments
  • Experience analyzing RF signal data, including identifying patterns, anomalies, and operationally relevant findings.
  • Experience working with complex data sets, including integrating, evaluating, and organizing data to support analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Python, SQL, or Matlab.
  • Experience utilizing Agile methods for development
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Active DoD TS/SCI
