Job description

Job Title: Senior Data & Analytics Engineer (Enterprise Intelligence)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within our enterprise data organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of data intelligence-from building robust pipelines in Databricks to delivering executive-level insights in Power BI. You will bridge the gap between complex raw data and scalable business KPIs, ensuring that our analytical models are high-performing, governed, and accurate. Beyond technical execution, you will act as a mentor and lead, providing code reviews and establishing best practices for our internal analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities
• SQL Mastery: Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. Support self-service reporting environments and implement rigorous data quality controls.
• Databricks Engineering: Build and manage Databricks notebooks and Delta tables. Develop sophisticated data pipelines to transform large-scale datasets into curated, audit-ready analytical layers.
• Power BI Leadership: Lead the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and semantic models. Ensure reports provide actionable insights for both executive and operational stakeholders.
• Data Modeling & Strategy: Collaborate with business SMEs to translate complex requirements into scalable data models and KPIs across diverse organizational use cases.
• Governance & Validation: Perform advanced data profiling and reconciliation across multiple source systems to ensure adherence to enterprise governance and performance standards.
• Technical Mentorship: Provide SME-level guidance and best-practice coaching. Conduct code reviews for internal teams to ensure high standards in SQL, Databricks, and Power BI development.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Technical Expertise:
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Databricks.
• Deep experience with Delta Lake architecture and notebook-based transformations.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and semantic model optimization.
• Experience:
• Proven track record of building data pipelines for large-scale, complex datasets.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical documentation and KPIs.
• Previous experience in a lead or mentorship capacity.
