ActioNet is seeking a Installer JNY  to join our team in Multiple CONUS sites across ME (Bangor), MI (Battle Creek), TN (Chattanooga), NH (Portsmouth), Vienna(Virginia), WI (Madison, Milwaukee),  Illinois (Chicago) and OH ( Dayton, Columbus, Toledo, Springfield) In this role, you will Assists engineers and technicians with placement of infrastructure components, pre-configuration. Performs tasks involving physical labor at installation site to aid daily operations

Responsibilities

  • Assists engineers and technicians with placement of infrastructure components, pre-configuration.
  • Performs tasks involving physical labor at installation site to aid daily operations.
  • Assists in movement of equipment, racks, boxes, and pallets.
  • Assists in cleanup and restoration of facilities to preinstall conditions.
  • Disposes of waste materials.
  • Performs site preparation and implementation activities required to implement approved ISP/OSP solution.
  • Assists in the installation of ISP/OSP cabling, racks/cabinets, and equipment.
  • Follows processes and procedures as provided by management or lead engineers.
  • May assist in test and validation activities as directed.
  • Performs cable dressing, labeling, and documentation.
  • Assists in restoration activities to return site to previous condition before project work.
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Tracks task status to provide updates to management or lead engineers.
  • Updates reports or task logs as directed.
  • Performs work under supervision but has capability to work independently to complete complex assignments; may provide guidance and direction to junior laborers or technicians.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree: High School diploma;
  • Experience: 5 years; Commensurate: N/A;
  • Specific Skills: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD drawings, specifically rack elevation drawings and floor plans to install data network equipment hardware, power supplies, UPS, and wireless access points; proficient with writing reports and updating data in MS Excel and Word;
  • Preferred: Experience supporting large, complex network modernizations;
  • Certification(s): N/A;
  • Clearance: Secret
