Job description

Title: Risk Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 12 Months


Role: We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Model Developer to build, monitor, and deploy predictive models supporting Small Business, Commercial Banking, and Capital Markets within Credit Risk.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor credit risk, ML/AI, credit scoring, and surveillance models.
  • Source, clean, validate, and engineer features from large datasets.
  • Build and deploy models using Python, SQL, PySpark, Hadoop, and S3.
  • Apply advanced statistical, classification, regression, and time-series techniques.
  • Support data assessment, feature-farm automation, and model implementation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and credit experts throughout the model lifecycle.
  • Prepare model documentation, code, presentations, and monitoring reports.
  • Address issues from Model Validation, Internal Audit, and monitoring.


Must-Have

  • 5+ years in credit risk modelling.
  • Strong Python & SQL with large-scale data experience.
  • Hands-on PySpark/ Hadoop/ S3 and UNIX.
  • Advanced ML/statistical modelling expertise.
  • Credit risk models & time-series analysis.
  • GitHub/version control experience.


Nice to Have: Master’s degree | GenAI in lending | R/Java/SAS | IFRS9 | Stress Testing | Capital Measurement.
