The responsibilities of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and goals.
• Providing individualized therapy sessions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
• Collaboratively creating client-centered treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and quantifiable objectives.
• Delivering crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute mental health crises and ensuring a safe therapeutic space.
• Educating patients and their families on mental health issues, coping mechanisms, and community resources that can aid in recovery.
• Maintaining comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards and ensuring proper documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Upholding ethical guidelines and state regulations related to counseling practices.
• Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and competence when engaging with a diverse clientele.
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support for clients.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with adults and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and as such, sensitivity to cultural diversity is crucial for effective therapy.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• State licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in outpatient therapy settings.
• Proven abilities in conducting assessments and managing a diverse client load with varying complexity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and building therapeutic rapport.
• A solid foundation in ethical practices and professionalism in clinical settings.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest therapeutic techniques and methodologies.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience using electronic health record systems and teletherapy tools will be preferred. Additional training in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), can further enhance your suitability for this role.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
