Job Title: Jr. Maintenance Mechanic
Location:
Toronto Pearson Airport
Structure:
Full-time, On-Site, Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:30pm 

ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Junior Maintenance Mechanic located in Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair all building equipment within the Airport and grounds to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Responsibilities:

Work shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:

  • General maintenance of building related equipment, maintenance to include but not limited to belts changes and filter changes, minor adjustments, and inspections.
  • Equipment inspections
  • Assisting mechanics, escorting contractors.
  • Assist other classifications as required
  • Perform light duties such as sweeping, general cleaning, garbage removal.
  • Installation of safety barricades
  • All other maintenance duties as assigned

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Must possess a clear drivers abstract
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office
  • Must be able to apply for obtain and maintain necessary security clearance (RAIC) including transportation security clearance.
  • Must be able to apply for obtain and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators' Permits (AVOP)
  • Valid G driver's license

The expected salary range for this role is determined in accordance with the union collective agreement
