Burrow Global Automation is recruiting energetic individuals to join our growing team in Houston, TX (Post Oak or Deer Park Office).

Burrow Global Automation is a vendor-neutral Automation Systems Integrator that manages and supports all aspects of automation projects, from concept to operation. We focus on the energy, specialty chemical, and sustainable energy markets. Working closely with our clients, we enable their processes to operate, striving for the utmost safety and efficiency while providing a fun, challenging, and balanced team environment for great people.

Burrow Global Automation is looking for control system engineers with proficiencies in process control and safety systems to develop and support clients’ process control systems and operational technology.  Development services pertain to the in-office engineering design, documentation, and configuration of E, EP & EPC projects and Automation projects for upgrades, expansions, and migrations.  Support services will be on site and vary from small changes related to maintenance to projects such as upgrades, process optimizations, expansions, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Working under Automation Lead supports control system design, development, and installation. Ability to program, troubleshoot, and support the configuration.
  • Participate in capital projects, new installations, testing, and modernization projects for new systems. May contribute to multiple projects at once.
  • Participate in face-to-face meetings with clients and professionally represent Burrow Global.
  • Provide technical support, problem-solving, maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement for process control systems.
  • Travel to domestic client sites may be up to 25-50%

Key Skills

  • Basic understanding of control systems documentation (e.g., P&IDs, Cause and Effects, Control System Architecture, I/O Index, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of Control System networks and connectivity
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Basic understanding of chemical/refining processes and applications.
  • Comfortable with both office and plant environments.
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and pressure.
  • Works well with others within a team and takes accountability.
  • Organized with strong computer literacy skills such as MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Electrical, Instrument, Computer Engineering or similar discipline (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 0-5 years of experience in the Automation field with hands-on experience with one or more control or safety instrumented system platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, etc.)
  • 0-5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or adjacent markets
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation or per diem is available on this position.
