Program OverviewThe Oklahoma Warriors NAHL and OKC Warriors NA3HL Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the strategic marketing and promotional efforts of a junior hockey organization. Interns will work directly with the Director of Operations and game day staff to support marketing campaigns, sponsorship activation, community outreach, and overall brand development throughout the hockey season.
This internship offers practical exposure to content planning, graphic design, photography, video editing, and analytics in a fast-paced sports environment.
Program Objectives
• Provide practical experience in social media strategy and content creation.
• Develop storytelling, design, and analytical skills.
• Expose interns to brand management and audience engagement techniques.
• Foster professional growth through collaboration with media and marketing staff.
• Build leadership and creative problem-solving skills through live event operations.
Internship Structure & Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Publishing (Primary Focus)

• Create graphics, captions, short-form videos, and stories for team social media channels.
• Cover home games with live posting and behind-the-scenes content.
• Assist with content calendars and post scheduling.
• Maintain brand consistency across all platforms.
2. Analytics & Strategy
• Track engagement, follower growth, and content performance.
• Provide recommendations to improve reach and audience engagement.
• Monitor social trends and identify content opportunities.
3. Game Day Operations
• Capture photos and videos during games and events.
• Coordinate with marketing, production, and broadcast teams.
• Provide operational support wherever needed throughout events.

Skills & Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field preferred.
• Strong writing and visual storytelling skills.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Positive, dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
Internship DurationThis internship will span the full hockey season from September through April. Interns will work flexible hours based on the team schedule, including nights, weekends, and home games.
Because game nights provide the majority of hands-on learning opportunities, interns should plan to be present for most of the Oklahoma Warriors and/or OKC Warriors home games and team events throughout the season.
Multiple internship positions are available.
CompensationThis is an unpaid internship; however, college credit may be earned if applicable through the intern's academic institution.
