We are seeking an experienced System Thermal‑Hydraulics Analyst to support advanced nuclear system analysis and safety evaluations. The successful candidate will perform detailed system‑level thermal‑hydraulic modeling and contribute to analysis supporting reactor design, safety margins, and transient/accident behavior.

• Develop, execute, and maintain system thermal‑hydraulic models using RELAP5-3D code.
• Perform steady‑state and transient analyses for nuclear systems, including normal operation, off‑normal events, and accident scenarios.
• Interpret and document analytical results to support licensing, design decisions, and safety assessments.
• Collaborate with reactor designers, safety analysts, and experimental teams to support integrated system evaluations.
• Participate in code verification, validation, and benchmarking activities against experiments or operating data.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports, analysis documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• MSc in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience performing analyses with system thermal‑hydraulic codes such as RELAP5 / RELAP5-3D, and/or TRACE.
• Strong understanding of single and two‑phase flow, heat transfer, and nuclear reactor thermal‑hydraulics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex analysis tasks.

• Experience supporting DOE, NRC, or national laboratory projects.
• Familiarity with model development best practices and QA requirements for safety‑related analysis.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.

• Based in the United States
• Willing to work on‑site in Idaho Falls, Idaho
