Job description

Job Summary:
Kai is an AI company focused on revolutionizing cybersecurity for the modern era. They are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure for their cybersecurity platform, ensuring fast and secure software delivery while embedding security into the DevOps lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on security and scalability
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and secure software delivery
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to enforce DevSecOps best practices
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP)
• Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis for complex incidents
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps culture across teams
• Integrate security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secrets management) into pipelines
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7–8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
• Strong experience with: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, or Go)
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Deep understanding of Linux systems and networking
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions
Preferred:
• Experience in cybersecurity or DevSecOps environments
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and identity/access management
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, SOC 2)
• Experience with secrets management tools (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Background in incident response and security operations
