BBA has a new opportunity for a Junior Advisoras part of our Power Advisory and Asset Management (PAAM) team. BBA's PAAM teamis an advanced multidisciplinary group of engineers, data scientists,economists, mathematicians, statisticians, policy-makers and advisors who arecollectively building the next generation of decision-making analytics andplatforms to help organizations make their asset infrastructure more resilientin the face of extreme weather, growing capacity needs and the integration ofnew technologies (e.g., electric vehicles, renewables, data centres). Our worksupports a variety of organizations, including electric GT&D utilities,independent power producers and commercial customers, to avoid potential risksby taking the right actions, with the right assets, at the right time.

This new opportunity will involve a wide rangeof challenging projects in the utility and power sector, along with exposure tothe mining and industrial sectors.

  • Help deliver decision-making asset analytics, including advanced asset condition assessment and monitoring, risk-based asset management frameworks, root cause analysis, failure analysis and probabilistic analytics
  • Support the delivery of top-down and bottom-up load forecasting for power utilities, large industrial customers and independent power producers
  • Develop asset analytics dashboards, visualizations, digital twins and geospatial visual environments to convey key decision-making messages to asset players
  • Support the development of key performance indicators, metrics and measures to enhance productivity, operations and risk management
  • Support the delivery of regulatory reporting deliverables, including long-term and short-term capital and maintenance investment plans as part of electricity rate filing applications
  • Support the development of business case evaluation (BCE) frameworks to justify and prioritize key investments
  • Perform end-to-end data analytics, including data collection, transformation, analysis, and visualization
  • Support the development of new decision-making technologies leveraging advanced machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence techniques
  • Engage in hands-on consulting work, including data analysis, research, stakeholder interviews and preparation of final deliverables
  • Delivery of engagement and contribution (E&C) programs to present key findings from major projects as part of knowledge sharing, client engagement and networking activities
