Transformation Lead

Department: Commercial

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Atlanta

Reporting To: Julie Adeltoft

DescriptionThe Role

You will work closely with the Head of Production Line and US Operations leadership to own the performance and strategic development of YouLend's US operational teams. You will be responsible for identifying where we have the greatest opportunities to improve performance and translating these into a clear transformation roadmap. This will range from transforming and automating Credit Operations to improving sales effectiveness and conversion, using data, AI and technology to fundamentally improve how our teams operate and scale.

You will lead a team of 2-3 Transformation Associates, set priorities and guiding them through some of the most important and ambiguous problems facing the US business. This is a highly analytical and hands-on leadership role, requiring you to move comfortably between setting strategy, analysing performance, developing your team and driving initiatives through to measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Head of Production Line to own the performance and strategy of our operational teams, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality and scalability.
  • Build a deep understanding of operational performance through data, developing the KPIs and insights needed to identify opportunities, diagnose problems and measure impact.
  • Own the transformation roadmap for US Operations, prioritising and delivering the highest-impact initiatives across Credit Operations, Sales and the merchant journey.
  • Lead and develop a team of 2-3 Transformation Associates, setting priorities, guiding problem-solving and ensuring initiatives deliver measurable impact.
  • Partner directly with our Developers to deliver scalable solutions, translating operational opportunities into technical and product improvements.
Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseExample problems:

A core part of the role is to identify and define the problems we should be solving, using data and business context to determine where the greatest opportunities lie and prioritising initiatives based on their potential impact.

Examples of the type of problems you and your team might identify and solve:
  • How should we redesign our Credit Operations teams to support significantly higher volumes without increasing headcount at the same rate?
  • Which parts of our credit assessment and operational workflows can be automated or simplified with AI while improving decision quality?
  • How should we structure our Sales teams to scale effectively while continuing to improve conversion rates and productivity?
  • Where are the biggest opportunities to improve operational performance, and how should we prioritise them while balancing immediate impact with building for long-term scale?
The ideal candidate:
  • Exceptional problem-solving and strategic judgement with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify opportunities, assess trade-offs and focus the team on where it can have the greatest impact.
  • Proven leadership and ownership with experience managing and developing high-performing individuals while taking responsibility for outcomes across a broader area.
  • Data-driven and technically curious, comfortable working with SQL, Excel or similar analytical tools and excited by the potential of AI and automation to transform how businesses operate.
  • Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, able to influence senior stakeholders, challenge existing ways of working and drive change across multiple teams
