Job Overview

Join a precision manufacturing team as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Lockport, IL. In this role, you'll assemble, solder, wire, and inspect high-quality electronic and electro-mechanical products used in advanced industrial applications. We're looking for detail-oriented individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components, assemblies, and subassemblies according to work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Perform SMT and through-hole soldering on electronic components and circuit boards
  • Build and inspect cable assemblies and wire harnesses
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly documentation
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic testing to ensure product quality and functionality
  • Identify and report quality concerns, assembly issues, or process improvements
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards
  • Keep workstations organized and maintain a clean work environment
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production goals
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
  • Advanced soldering skills, including experience with fine-pitch components under magnification
  • Experience with SMT and through-hole assembly techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school, vocational training, military electronics training, or related education
  • IPC-A-610 certification
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification
  • Experience building wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Electronics manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with electronic testing equipment and inspection tools
