TITLE: Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course Instructor (SOTACC) JOB TYPE: Full-Time Employee LOCATION: Onsite position at Camp Lejeune, NC. In-person work is the default posture, with regular field presence at ranges and training sites in support of live CAS, simulator, and range operations. WORK SCHEDULE: Standard 40-hour work week. Hours may vary to support range operations, training events, evaluations, and exercise windows, to include occasional early, extended, or off-hours coverage driven by flight schedules and mission tempo. *This position is contingent on contract award * OVERVIEW: The Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course Instructor supports (SOTACC) by delivering JTAC instruction, evaluation support, and program administration across classroom, simulator, live-fire, and Live Virtual Constructed training environments. This role prepares SOF and other designated personnel for close air support mission requirements while maintaining required JTAC/JTAC-I/E qualifications, supporting range and asset scheduling, and assisting with JTAC qualification tracking. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the SOTACC with JTAC instruction, training and tracking responsibilities, including JTAC, JTAC-I/E simulator training, range scheduling, mission duties for range operations, and CAS malfunction/accident/incident response and reporting. Maintain JTAC, JTAC-I/E qualifications in accordance with JFS ESC AP MOU 2024-01 JTAC Ground, USSOCOM M 350-5, USSOCOM D 525-13, and MARFORSOC 3500.2 series order. Provide instruction to SOTACC JTACs under instruction in classroom and both live and Live Virtual Constructed (LVC) environments, Mission Qualification Training, Unit Level Training, and any other service personnel as directed by MARFORSOC JTAC Program leadership. Conduct JTAC Evaluations (if qualified) of MARFORSOC and other service personnel as directed by MARFORSOC JTAC Program leadership. Perform training requirements to attain and maintain Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties, conduct RSO duties as required for training events. Aid in the scheduling of ranges and supporting assets when directed by the MARFORSOC JTAC Program leadership or the SOTACC Training Manager. Aid in JTAC program management to include JTAC qualification tracking and other administrative requirements. Provide any required immediate response and substantiating reports for any safety incident in which the contractor personnel were involved. REQUIREMENTS: Secret clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Two years’ minimum experience as a SOF JTAC. JTAC-I/E qualification must have occurred within the last 48 months Held or exceeded a JTAC-I qualification as a uniformed member as defined in service JTAC guidance or instructions (e.g. JFS ESC AP MOU 2024-01 JTAC Ground, USSOCOM M 350-5, USSOCOM D 525-13, and other service directives) ADDITIONAL NOTES: Attollo has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included. Must be able to lift and carry range equipment, radios, and associated gear up to 50 lbs.
