Job description

Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations.This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC).

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening in our Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) NOC for a JRSS NOC Technician at Scott AFB, IL.

US Citizenship is required along with a current DoD Secret Clearance.

**Our anticipated salary range for this role is $65,000 - 75,000**

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing and training team on the following duties:
Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.
Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.
Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.

High school and 2-4 years of experience.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.
General understanding of network topologies.
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
Circuit actions and vendor experience
IP architecture experience
Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.
Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs
Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.
any additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4.
