Job description

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a federal customer. The selected candidate will provide technical project management leadership, overseeing multiple complex IT initiatives while serving as a key liaison between project teams, customers, and senior government leadership.

Work location:  Onsite (Washington DC)

Clearance: Ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical Project Manager, reporting directly to the Program Manager.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and manage multiple complex, interrelated IT projects.
  • Lead and oversee project teams to ensure successful execution of project objectives.
  • Collaborate with OCIO stakeholders, customers, and technical staff to develop and review project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status updates, technical briefings, and financial reports to management, customers, and senior leadership, including the CIO.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resources using Microsoft Project.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • Support Agile and Agile-Hybrid project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster effective working relationships with IT support staff, customers, and senior leadership to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience serving as a Project Manager supporting a Federal Government agency.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple, complex IT projects simultaneously.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience leading and motivating project teams to successfully achieve project goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience providing project briefings and status updates to senior executives.
  • Experience implementing or supporting Agile or Agile-Hybrid project management methodologies within the public sector.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred: Current, active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
