Salary Range: $80,000-$180,000
Position Overview: JR&CO is seeking a motivated Residential Roofing Sales Representative (Outside Sales) to generate new business, perform roof inspections, and guide homeowners through the roofing sales process from inspection to project completion. This outside sales representative role combines sales, customer service, and project coordination while giving you the flexibility to manage your own schedule. You will identify opportunities, present roofing solutions, and work with estimators and operations to deliver high-quality projects. This position starts in residential roofing sales with opportunities to expand into service and commercial markets. Essential Functions:
  • Generate new business through door-to-door sales, referrals, networking, and prospecting
  • Educate homeowners on roof replacement, repair options, and insurance restoration processes
  • Collaborate with estimators and operations to ensure accurate project scope and pricing
  • Track leads, proposals, and sales activity using CRM software
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Negotiate contracts and guide customers through the roofing sales process from lead to close
  • Create and present roofing sales proposals and project estimates
  • Perform roof inspections and property assessments for residential customers

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for outside sales appointments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills when working with homeowners
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and ability to work independently
  • Experience with CRM and business software (Microsoft Office; EDGE and Pipedrive preferred)
  • Knowledge of roofing systems, construction processes, or storm restoration is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commission-driven sales environment
  • Ability to prospect, generate leads, and close residential sales opportunities
  • Experience in roofing sales, construction sales, home improvement sales, or outside sales preferred

Education and Experience:
  • 1-3 years B2C or B2B sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of roofing systems, applications and benefits preferred
  • Construction or contracting background preferred
  • Canvassing sales experience preferred

Training, Support, and Development
  • Paid 4 Weeks of training including roofing industry, construction education, and sales training.
  • Access to Company apparel, marketing materials and CRM
  • Fully equipped office and support staff (Administration, production, quality control, etc.)
  • Ongoing paid professional development for new products, and sales training.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
  • Indoor office environment and outdoor door-to-door sales calling
  • Local travel to engage with clients
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client availability
