What does a Jr Plumber do?

A Jr Plumber, also known as a junior plumber or apprentice plumber, assists licensed plumbers with installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems. Their tasks often include helping to measure and cut pipes, cleaning and preparing work areas, and learning how to troubleshoot common plumbing problems. Jr Plumbers work under the supervision of more experienced plumbers to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills. Over time, they may take on more responsibilities as they progress in their training and apprenticeship.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Jr Plumber?

To thrive as a Jr Plumber, you need a basic understanding of plumbing systems, manual dexterity, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as safety certifications like OSHA, are typically required.
