Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Jr Automation Engineer to support a major national laboratory.
The successful candidate shall have experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef. Experience in UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows Operating System (OS), including file management, scripting, editing, and security. Experience with a variety of programming languages, software, or tools to develop regular or ad-hoc queries from large datasets. Familiar with network communication protocols, and other related protocols. Ability to implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
Responsibilities
• Manage and administer server infrastructure supporting development and production environments.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to build robust APIs and user interfaces.
• Design and optimize databases to support application needs.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Drive DevOps best practices to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree along with 1 year or more of relevant experience
  • In lieu of degree must have at minimum 7 years of work related experience
  • Must have an Active DOE Q level security clearance
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must live in the Albuquerque as some onsite work is required.

Required Skills:
