Title: Data Engineer

Location: Woonsocket, RI 02895 -hybrid 1-2 days onsite

DAY TO DAY:

They will be working on migrating business users' SQL code and BI reports from our legacy Teradata and Snowflake platforms to GCP/BigQuery. They are starting on the business user migration by first, migrating the data, then moving into Teradata and then Snowflake applications. They will be looking at BI and queries. They will not be doing BI development but will be able to conduct discussions with groups to facilitate the migration. They may be asked to help convert the BI queries from legacy to new at some point.

This data is semi-automated by AI usage and the goal is to get at least 60-80% of it from manual to automated though each data set will depend on table structure . This person needs to understand the data structures, able to take queries and run through them through AI to make it work and then post results. If the results are not the same, they will be able to justify them.

MUST HAVE:

Early in career - 1 to 2 years experience

Strong SQL

Basic Python

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
