Jr. Maintenance Rover  Technician – Greenville, NC

Monarch Investment & Management Group is looking for a skilled, hands-on Jr. Maintenance Rover I Technician to support our communities in and around Greenville, NC. About the Jr Rover Role:

As a Jr Rover, you won't be tied to a single property — instead, you'll support multiple properties, filling in wherever the need is greatest. Occasional overnight travel will be required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Knock out work orders efficiently and safely across your assigned portfolio of properties
  • Turn units and get them ready for new residents (make-readies)
  • Handle painting, staining, drywall, and general carpentry (interior and exterior)
  • Take care of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
  • Regularly inspect curb appeal, shops, major equipment, turn boards, and work order reports, and report findings to your supervisor
  • Assist with pool maintenance and grounds upkeep where applicable
  • Help coordinate purchasing or organizing of bulk items and equipment as needed
  • Assist with contractor relationships, including project bids and logistics
  • Assist with or coordinate on-call coverage and snow removal across your portfolio as needed
  • May directly manage PMPs (Preventative Maintenance Plans), safety training, turn management, or work order management for specific properties when assigned in writing
  • Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas
  • Act as a professional representative of Monarch at every property you support
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of general maintenance experience
  • Some drywall experience, including painting and carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
  • Some AC/HVAC experience required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A genuine, customer-service mindset with residents and property teams
  • Willingness to complete basic training within 30 days
  • Reliable transportation to and from each scheduled shift
  • Ability to arrive on-site within 20 minutes when on call
  • Valid driver's license (a driving record report will be run)
