We are a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor with a reputation for combining high-quality consulting services with customized energy solutions. Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.

Job Summary

The Jr. Automation Technician assists in inspections, testing, and adjusting electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices and systems. The Jr. Automation Tech will help troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with tests, inspect, and adjust temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, or other recording indicating or controls drawings to check for accuracy. Assist in building Automation Graphics, BAS front-end basic programming, field-level controller programming, and checkout. Keep management or customers informed of job progress and issues. Help prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and blueprints as needed. Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to filling out accurate timesheets, completing checkout sheets, supporting Smartsheet, daily jobs reports, and other project-related documentation. Interface with the Automation Team of programmers, engineers, designers, and project managers. Adhere to all safety standards and attend required safety training.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) preferred. Previous industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry is a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Attention and listening skills. Strong Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and or HVAC-related software. Able to use essential hand tools.
