Job description

Skillforce is hiring Journeyman Plumbers for ongoing project work at Fort Belvoir. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for all aspects of multifamily plumbing from rough-in to finish. Residential and commercial plumbers both fit this scope. If you have journeyman level plumbing experience, apply now!

Journeyman Plumber Pay:

  • $30.00 to $42.00 per hour based on your experience level.
  • W-2 employment with weekly pay every Friday by direct deposit.

Journeyman Plumber Schedule:

  • Full time, Monday through Friday, day shift.
  • Overtime is available as the project ramps up.
  • Ongoing project work with a consistent weekly schedule.

Journeyman Plumber Responsibilities:

  • Rough in waste, vent, and water lines to print on multifamily units.
  • Set fixtures, trim out valves and faucets, and complete the finish plumbing package.
  • Cut, prep, and stage pipe and fittings on site ahead of the install.
  • Read prints and lay out plumbing runs cleanly before you start.
  • Work with PEX, copper, PVC, and cast iron pipe across the full unit rough.
  • Test systems, find and correct leaks, and clear callbacks.
  • Coordinate with the site foreman and other trades to keep the work on schedule.

Journeyman Plumber Qualifications:

  • You have journeyman level plumbing experience, either residential or commercial.
  • You can rough in and trim out from prints with limited supervision.
  • You own a standard set of plumbing hand tools and show up ready to work.
  • You have reliable transportation to the job site.
  • You can pass a background check for site access and clear the base badging process.
  • You can pass a drug screen.
  • You are authorized to work in the United States.
  • A journeyman plumbing card and multifamily experience are both a plus.
