Position Overview

Joint Medcare Rehab and Wellness Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient clinic team. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in helping our patients restore mobility and improve their overall quality of life through individualized treatment plans and expert care.

Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Woodbridge, Virginia, our rehabilitation center features a modern, patient-centric design equipped with the latest therapy technologies and treatment tools. Our standard work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions through assessments and diagnostic testing to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of orthopedic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and evidence-based interventions, to address individual patient goals.
• Manage a manageable caseload, ensuring personalized attention for each patient while striving for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients on exercises, stretches, and wellness strategies to promote recovery and prevent further injuries.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to integrate care approaches and share insights on patient progress.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes thoroughly and accurately using EMR software, particularly Web PT.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
• Encourage lifestyle changes and wellness habits that enhance strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to support staff and students, promoting a collaborative learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be serving an outpatient clientele recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, or post-surgical rehabilitation. Your expertise will be crucial in crafting personalized therapy regimens that enhance their recovery experience and facilitate a return to their daily activities or athletic pursuits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy modalities and a proven track record in developing and implementing successful exercise programs for diverse patient populations.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Continuous engagement in professional development to stay current with advances in physical therapy techniques and patient care methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire patients throughout their recovery process.
• Demonstrated success in implementing holistic wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, continuing education stipends, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.
