Description

Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Logistics SME- Joint Logistics Integration to support a prospective effort with EXLOG. This is a Contingent Hire position.

Position Summary

Lead Joint Logistics Coordination and integration support for LPOV, connecting Marine Corps logistics capabilities with naval and Joint concepts, plans, platforms, doctrine, wargames, and modernization initiatives. Apply Lean Six Sigma and related methods to improve logistics processes and capability outcomes.

Location: Pentagon, Washington, D.C

Clearance: An active Level TS/SCI clearance is required.
Estimated Start Date: 13 September 2026

Travel Requirements: May require CONUS/OCNUS travel
 

Desired Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 8+ years of specialized experience working in military logistics and supply chain management processes and procedures at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels.
  • Proven skills in planning, organizing, and leading teams for development and implementation of proposals that involve substantial resources, requirements for extensive changes in established work processes and operations.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps structures, missions and programs for organizations involved in logistics activities.
  • Experience in Joint capability development, PBBEA, or posture/force management.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps and U.S. Navy doctrine, logistics structure, processes, and naval/Joint command inter-relationships.
  • Experience conducting analysis of new and emerging DoD, Service, Joint doctrine, concepts, strategies, and directives.
  • Experience conducting analysis of required logistics functional capabilities, gaps, and investment recommendations across all Capability Portfolio Managers.
  • Experience developing and reviewing ETMS2 Tasks to include integrating multiple inputs and consolidating responses (up to 3-star level tasks).
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis with respect to logistics processes to include analysis of interoperability with other service Logistics processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OPNAV N4, Joint Staff Logistics FCB, MARFOR/MEF organizations, Global Prepositioning, or naval platform integration.

The Candidate will support USMC POM planning products, analysis of logistics functional capabilities and gaps, investment recommendations across Capability Portfolio Managers, assessments of Joint Capabilities Development Documents, and reviews of urgent-needs statements. The senior Logistics SME will provide the Joint/Service logistics and capability-development expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pursuing opportunities for the development of logistics capabilities in support of the POM planning process. This includes:
  • Preparing and facilitating team meetings, ad-hoc meetings, and information and decision briefs to senior leadership.
  • Developing standard templates for products (e.g., briefs, papers, and after-action reports and plan of action and milestones) used to deliver and document such meetings and briefs and maintain positive control and monitoring of action items.
  • ii. Complete an annual analysis of required logistics functional capabilities, gaps, and investment recommendations across all Capabilities Portfolio Managers in support of I&L input to DC P&R.
  • iii. Review and assess Joint capability development outputs for Marine Corps logistics equities and DC I&L priorities.
  • iv. Evaluate Joint Universal Needs Statements for Marine Corps logistics equities.
  • v. Provide support for Joint Staff FCBs and Joint Capability Boards (JCBs) for DC I&L priorities and Marine Corps logistics equities.
  • vi. Provide logistics subject matter expertise for Joint Staff Joint Capability Board and Functional Capability Board (JCB/FCB) meetings, reviews and briefs for I&L equity.
  • vii. Support efforts to implement Joint capability efforts across the Marine Corps as directed. This includes supporting analytics, capability development documents, support to the Marine Corps CBA process, and Joint integration.
