Position Overview: Represent Blue Star on the International travel stage! The Airport Team Member is a dynamic role designed for the unique setting of the Portland International Airport, requiring a blend of skills in both donut production, logistics, and customer service. This position involves working in a fast-paced on-site kitchen as well as the storefront, and providing exceptional hospitality & a high-quality experience for our guests. Airport Team Members represent not only Blue Star, but also the best of local Oregon businesses in a world-class environment!

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service, engage with a diverse range of customers, handle transactions efficiently, and create a welcoming environment.

  • Donut Production: Assist in all areas of production, including mixing, rolling, cutting, frying, glazing, and packaging donuts to meet daily production goals.

  • Retail Operations: Manage tasks such as order taking, cash handling, making & serving espresso & coffee, boxing donuts,ย and maintaining a clean and inviting experience.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to ensure smooth operations, support each other in meeting production and sales goals, and create a positive and efficient work atmosphere.

  • Quality and Sanitation: Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all products, workstations, and equipment, adhering to Blue Starโ€™s high standards.

Qualifications:

  • A love for donuts!

  • Alignment with Blue Starโ€™s core values.

  • Current Oregon food handlers

  • Working cell phone and Gmail account.

  • Completion of Blue Star Training Programs.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.

  • Must be able to pass a federal background check for PDX Airport Badging and obtain a PDX Airport badge.

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of kitchen experience.

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of hospitality experience

  • Preferred: Experience utilizing Google Workspace, Slack, and Paycom.
