Job description

Overview
We are seeking a Technician to support installation and maintenance activities within gateway and central office environments. This role is ideal for candidates with experience working in telecom facilities such as gateways, headends, or customer premise locations installing telecom equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and support telecom equipment within gateway and central office environments
  • Run cross-connects and jumper cables
  • Perform card adds and equipment upgrades
  • Install tertiary DC power systems
  • Rack and stack telecom equipment
  • Conduct circuit testing using appropriate test equipment
  • Support equipment installation and integration activities
  • Follow all site safety and installation standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in gateways, headends, or telecom customer premise environments
  • Hands-on experience with telecom equipment installation
  • Familiarity with circuit testing and related test equipment
  • Experience working with DC power systems
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and installation guides
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured environment
Work Environment
  • Work performed within central office and gateway environments
  • May require lifting, climbing ladders, and extended periods of standing
  • Adherence to all safety and operational procedures is required
