Job description

Title Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk to support our dealership operations in Clear Lake, Iowa. This is a fully onsite role responsible for managing all aspects of vehicle title processing, registration, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with systems and data, and takes pride in delivering a smooth and efficient experience for customers and internal teams.

Title & Registration Processing
  • Prepare and process vehicle title and tax documentation accurately and on time
  • Submit paperwork to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
  • Process out-of-state titles and registrations
  • Apply for duplicate titles as needed
  • Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy
Tracking & Documentation
  • Maintain organized files and accurate records for all title work
  • Monitor and track outstanding titles to ensure timely receipt
  • Follow up on missing titles and resolve discrepancies
  • Support audits by maintaining clean and accurate documentation
Systems & Data Management
  • Manage data entry and tracking within internal systems (e.g., Lightyear or similar)
  • Coordinate with external vendors and customer systems as needed
Customer & Vendor Communication
  • Respond to customer and vendor questions related to titles and registration
  • Provide timely updates and clear communication on status and requirements
  • Support a positive customer experience through efficient processing
Additional Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the team as needed
  • Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
What We're Looking For Required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
