Job description

Job Summary:
This job is responsible for delivering orders from the kitchen to the guests. The food runner receives a call that an order is ready; he or she picks up the order at the expo station and then delivers it to the correct table. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and duties that pertain to the Food Runner role
  • Maintains a positive attendance record
  • Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company and take
  • Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook
  • Maintains outstanding guest service standards
  • Knows all menu items offered at the restaurant. Accurately explains specials to guests. If asked, accurately answers menu items in regard to the preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items accompanying the dish. If asked, specify substitutions for items on the menu
  • Understands table numbering system and is able to identify delegated table assignments 100% of the time.
  • Picks up orders and delivers food to the correct tables following our tray service procedures 100% of the time
  • Performs sidework correctly as specified in the "Sidework Duties" that pertains to the Food Runner role
  • Follows all end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy as specified in the "End of Shift/Checkout Procedures" that pertains to the Food Runner role
  • Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when available
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read and communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers, management, and guests
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds
  • Capable of working in extreme hot or cold environments
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length
  • Must be efficient and accurate with money and figures

The pay for this position is $6.50 per hour + tips.
