Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and ongoing assessments to document client progress from initial consultation to treatment completion.
  • Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based methodologies.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings while delivering effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Regularly monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to enhance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients, especially those requiring hospitalization.
  • Assess and mitigate behaviors or barriers that may impede recovery, employing proactive strategies for client engagement and motivation.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers, providing guidance on managing mental health challenges, which aids in client recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health issues. Your role is crucial in building therapeutic alliances that foster trust and facilitate healing. Providing culturally sensitive and individualized care is essential in making a meaningful impact on our clients' lives.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • The candidate must possess valid and current licensure (e.g., LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey empathy and understanding effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster rapport and establish a supportive therapeutic environment for clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in community mental health settings, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
