We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.Expected work schedule for the South Asian Outreach Minister:Full- or part-time, flexible scheduleOccasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projectsAttendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff RetreatsPay structure for a South Asian Outreach Minister:Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expensesTraining is provided to develop a team of ministry partnersPay range is typically between $27,274 and $84,872 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factorsSouth Asian Outreach Minister Benefits:Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible)Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staffFlexible hours and work-from-home availabilityStaff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staffThe South Asian Outreach Minister will assist the Central Ohio ministry team to serve international students from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan) in practical ways and train and equip students and volunteers for service to international students from there. This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in or near Columbus, OH.South Asian Outreach Minister ResponsibilitiesThe South Asian Outreach Minister will (list not all inclusive):Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the role by sharing the vision of the ministryResearch and understand the needs of South Asian international studentsServe South Asian international students by establishing connections, developing reproducing Bible discussion groups and 1-on-1 interactions, attending outreach activities, and discipling 3-4 South Asian studentsRecruit and train volunteers to serve on a campus ministry team, including developing training and programs to effectively develop relationships with South Asian international studentsConnect with student associations and community groupsQualifications needed of a South Asian Outreach Minister, including Spiritual CharacteristicsAdherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policiesIs faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for JesusWell organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independentlyHas a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturityAbility to work under stress and be flexibleCommitted to sharing faith in the context of personal relationships and investing deeply in students' livesProficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applicationsInternational Friendships, Inc.
