Job description


Position Title: Concrete Foreman I

Department: Concrete

Location: North Alabama

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating the work of team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to required standards
  • Monitor daily activities on-site, ensuring that work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations
  • Monitor the quality of work performed by team members, ensuring it meets project specifications and standards
  • Assist in managing an organized and clean work environment, addressing any hazards or obstructions
  • Document and report any incidents or issues that occur
  • Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
  • Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
  • Aid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner


Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in a construction setting
  • Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards
  • Ability to obtain Arsenal Badge preferred, but not required
  • Ability to obtain FBI Badge preferred, but not required
  • Requires personal transportation to job sites
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
  • Work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Committed to attending work each day
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
