Position: Network Observability Engineer (Strong Logic Monitoring Experience)

Location: Libertyville, Illinois – Onsite 5 days

Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

Logic Monitor Set Up, Configuration & Review

  • Configure and maintain LogicMonitor platform, collectors, device groups, and RBAC for network devices, APs, servers, storage, and cloud resources
  • Onboard and standardize monitoring for Cisco Meraki, legacy Cisco devices, routers, FortiGate, Aruba SD-WAN, ClearPass, Infoblox, and Zscaler
  • Implement network availability and performance alerts including Device Down, Interface Utilization High, Packet Loss, Latency, and WAN Failover
  • Configure wireless alerts such as AP Down, AP Client Saturation, High Retry Rate, and Poor RSSI/SNR
  • Set up VMware alerts including Host Not Responding, Datastore Capacity High, CPU/Memory Contention, and Snapshot Age Exceeded
  • Configure Azure monitoring and alerts for VM Availability, High CPU/Memory, Disk Queue Length, and Network Throughput across VMs
  • Implement IBM i monitoring with alerts for System Load, Disk Utilization, Job Queue Backlog, and SAP ECC Infrastructure Availability
  • Configure storage alerts for Dell PowerStore and Isilon including Capacity Threshold Breach, IOPS Latency, and Controller/Node Health
  • Enable backup and DR alerts including Commvault Job Failure, Missed Backup, Zerto Replication Lag, and RPO Threshold Breach
  • Configure SQL and email infrastructure alerts such as Service Down, Database Growth, Transaction Log Full, and Mail Queue Backlog
  • Build operational dashboards including Network Operations Overview, Wireless Health, Server & Virtualization Health, Storage & Backup Status, and Cloud Infrastructure Overview
  • Create executive and service dashboards such as Infrastructure Availability, Top Alerts & Incidents, Capacity & Growth Trends, and SLA Compliance
  • Tune thresholds, apply alert suppression, and leverage LogicMonitor AIOps for anomaly detection and alert noise reduction
  • Integrate LogicMonitor with ServiceNow for auto-ticket creation, enrichment, and lifecycle updates aligned to ITSM workflows
  • Conduct periodic monitoring reviews, validate alert effectiveness, update dashboards, and provide observability recommendations and documentation
