About Us:
The Converse Home is a warm and welcoming assisted living community located in downtown Burlington. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a safe, nurturing environment where they can truly thrive. Our compassionate team is at the heart of everything we do.

We are currently seeking a caring and dependable Licensed Nursing Assistant to join our team on the overnight shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) as a Resident Care Assistant and Charge of shift.

Job Description:
As an RCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and ensure residents receive respectful, high-quality care. Overnight staff are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the night by remaining awake and alert, completing scheduled resident safety rounds, responding promptly to resident needs, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care with compassion, dignity, and professionalism.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and physician orders (if medication certified).
  • Monitor residents' health status and promptly report any changes to the nursing team.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Promote residents' independence while providing respectful, person-centered care.
  • Complete scheduled overnight safety rounds and resident checks to ensure the well-being and security of all residents.
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells, emergencies, and overnight needs.
  • Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Follow all community policies and procedures to ensure resident safety and quality care.

Qualifications:
  • LNA license is required.
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
  • Ability to remain awake, alert, and engaged throughout the overnight shift.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team-oriented, resident-centered approach to care.
