Overnight Behavioral Health Technician (Part-Time | Weekends)
Mesa, AZ or South Scottsdale, AZ
Work Weekends, Make a Real Difference Overnight
Looking for a part-time role that fits around school, another job, or the rest of your week? This Overnight Behavioral Health Technician position offers a consistent weekend schedule, working every other weekend at our Central Mesa or South Scottsdale residential facility.
You'll provide overnight support and supervision for children and adolescents in a structured behavioral health program, helping ensure their safety and well-being while they sleep and through any overnight needs that come up.
This role is a great fit for individuals who are currently studying or building a career in psychology, counseling, or behavioral health, or who have prior experience working in a similar setting, especially those who prefer nights and want a schedule that leaves their weekdays free.
Schedule
  • Friday: 9:00pm - 8:00am
  • Saturday: 9:00pm - 8:00am
  • Sunday: 9:00pm - 8:00am (school breaks/holidays only)
  • Typically every other weekend
  • First week: some Monday-Friday daytime availability preferred for training

What You'll Be Doing
  • Remain awake and alert overnight to ensure client safety
  • Conduct safety checks every 30 minutes
  • Respond to clients' needs throughout the night
  • Assist with overnight medications, as needed
  • Help implement individual treatment plans and provide input on treatment goals
  • Complete health record notes and trip tickets
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties
  • Redirect behavior and use non-violent physical crisis intervention when needed

What We're Looking For
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Valid driver's license with no legal restrictions
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency (or 3 years of behavioral health experience)
  • Ability to stay calm and alert through overnight hours
  • Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • A genuine passion for working with children and the ability to work on a team

Preferred Background:
  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services
  • Current or recent coursework in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field

Compensation
  • $17 - $20 per hour
  • Consistent every-other-weekend schedule
